I received my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia in May of 2011 and my Masters Degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama in August of 2018.

I started my teaching career in the Douglas County Schools System in Georgia where I taught both Kindergarten and First Grade for three years. My family and I then moved to my husband's hometown of Alexander City. I started my career with ACS as a second grade teacher at Jim Pearson Elementary and taught reading there for three years before transferring to Nathaniel H. Stephens Elementary. I am a trained Orton-Gillingham teacher through the Institue of Multi-Sensory Education. I am currently serving as the Instructional Coach and the ARI Specialist for SES.

I was born in Orlando, Florida and lived there until I was 5 years old. My parents company relocated us to Atlanta, Georgia where I attended school K-12 in the Paulding County School District. I knew at a very young age that teaching would be my passion and career choice. After high school, I attended The University Of West Georgia and received my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. Soon after graduation, I married my husband Richard Pike in 2011. We now have two beautiful girls Makenna and Camdyn. We also have two lively chocolate labs Sophie and Ellie.
