I graduated in 2012 from Auburn University with a Bachelor's in Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.

This is my fifth year teaching in the Alexander City School System, all being at Stephens Elementary. The first of those five years, I was the Technology teacher for both the 3rd and 4th grades. After teaching Technology, I began teaching 3rd grade Writing, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. For the past 2 years, I have taught Reading, Writing, and Language Arts.

I was raised in Alexander City and attended the Alexander City School System. In 2006, I graduated from Benjamin Russell High School and went on to study at Auburn University. I started Auburn University majoring in Pre-Pharmacy, even though I knew it was not where my heart was leading me. Finally, I listened to my calling, and changed my major to Early Childhood Education. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. In 2014, I was hired to teach at Stephens Elementary and have been there since. As a teacher, it is important for me to really get to know and build lasting relationships with my students. I am married, have two small boys, and the sweetest dog. In my spare time I love to watch Alabama football, paint, and spend time with my friends and family.
