Parents:

As we begin our 2018-19 school year, the administration would like to address various points of emphasis to our dress code for the upcoming year.  It is the responsibility of parents and students to abide by the dress code set forth by Alexander City Schools. At Stephens, we are emphasizing important points to our dress code for students and parents to pay close attention to as we prepare for the upcoming year.

  1. All male shirts must be tucked into pants at all times.  This includes collared shirts, T-shirts, thermal shirts. Sweaters, pullovers, sweatshirts will not be considered shirts.  Male Shirts must have sleeves.

  2. Students are not allowed to wear athletic shorts to school.

  3. Pants with holes, slits, frays, designs, graphics, etc… are not allowed.

  4. Dresses, skirts, or shorts must be no shorter than 2 inches in length above the kneecap (front and back).

  5. Female shirt straps must be credit card length.

  6. The following shoes are not permitted: shower or athletic slip-ons, cleats, bedroom shoes, or skate shoes.

Although this is not the complete dress code for Stephens, it is some major points of emphasis as we begin the new school year.

Sincerely,

SES Elementary School
