Meet Our Principals

                                  Dr. Mary Holloway

I began my career teaching at Selma City Schools, which at the time served students Pre-k-12th. I served as a speech therapist for 4 years at Selma City, and served students at every grade level. In 2004, I left Selma City for Dadeville High School and worked as an Employment English teacher for one year. At the end of the 2004 – 2005 school year, I was recruited by the principal of Auburn High School and served the students, faculty and community in several capacitates as reflected on my resume. I worked at Auburn High School for seven years and gained experienced that catapulted me into leadership.

In 2012, I was hired as an assistant principal at Smiths Station High School in Lee County. Smiths Station High School is a very diverse school. In 2017, I was given the opportunity to join the Alexander City School System and serve as assistant principal at Radney Elementary School.

From multiple graduate degrees in education, leadership, and instruction, I have ensured that my academic skill set meets or exceeds the needs of my career.

I believe that a school's success is dependent on the building principal and assistants. My mentors have instilled in me that great principals and assistants lead by acting as servant leaders. It is my belief that one cannot expect students and teachers to grow, or the community to trust in a school without the guidance of a principal who understands their needs and seeks to assist them in every way. I plan to use my experience in team building, communication, and management to ensure the goals of all within my school are met.
